Northgate service van on a Dublin street at night on an emergency call-out

24/7 emergency plumbing across Dublin

One number, answered by a plumber, at any hour. Typical Dublin response inside 60 minutes, with vans stocked to finish most repairs on the first visit.

What counts as an emergency

  • A burst pipe or water coming through a ceiling
  • No water at all, or a mains leak you cannot isolate
  • No heating or hot water in cold weather, especially with children or elderly residents in the house
  • A smell of gas — call the gas emergency line on 1800 20 50 50 first, then call us
  • A blocked or overflowing toilet in a one-bathroom home
  • Sewage backing up into the property

What to do while you wait

  1. Turn the water off at the internal stopcock — usually under the kitchen sink or in the hot press.
  2. If you cannot find it, use the external stop valve at the boundary, often under a small metal cover at the footpath.
  3. Turn off the boiler and the immersion.
  4. If water is anywhere near electrics, switch off at the consumer unit and do not touch anything wet.
  5. Put buckets down and pull up what you can — and take photos for your insurer before you clean up.

How the call-out works

You speak to a plumber, not a call centre reading a script. We will often talk you through isolating the water on the phone before anyone gets in a van, because ten minutes of your time can save a ceiling. You are given a price band before we travel, and the arrival window is a real one.

Indicative out-of-hours pricing

Emergency call-out, evenings and weekendsfrom €160
Overnight and bank holidaysfrom €195
Make-safe and isolationincluded in call-out
Permanent repairquoted before we start

The call-out covers attendance, diagnosis and making the property safe. Anything beyond that is quoted and agreed with you first — at three in the morning as much as three in the afternoon.

Common questions

Questions we get asked a lot

How fast can you actually get here?

Inside the M50, typically under an hour. Further out it depends on where the on-call van is, and we will give you an honest window on the phone rather than an optimistic one.

Where is my stopcock?

In most Dublin homes it is under the kitchen sink, in the hot press or in the garage. There is also an external one at your boundary, usually under a small cover in the footpath or driveway.

Do you charge more at night?

Yes, and we tell you the rate on the phone before we travel. There are no hidden supplements added afterwards.

Can you deal with my insurance?

We can provide a written report with photographs, cause of loss and costs in a format Irish insurers accept.
